Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TalkyTools (BankTalky) ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use BankTalky (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

• No public sign-up. BankTalky has no user accounts. Only internal admin accounts exist, secured by email + bcrypt-hashed passwords.
• Anonymous click data.When you click an "Apply" link to a partner bank/insurer, we log: the partner's domain (e.g. hdfcbank.com), the BankTalky page you were on, a SHA-256 hash of your IP, your user-agent, and referrer. We do NOT log your name, phone, PAN, Aadhaar, salary, or any other personal data.
• Standard server logs. Our web server records page paths, response codes, and timestamps for security and debugging. These are auto-deleted within 30 days.
• No cookies for tracking. We use only a session cookie for admin login. No third-party advertising cookies. No Google Analytics or Meta Pixel (at the time of writing).

2. What we don't do

• We do not collect KYC documents (PAN, Aadhaar, salary slips). The partner's portal collects those directly.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers, agents, or lead-gen aggregators.
• We do not call you. No middleman agents will contact you on our behalf.

3. Affiliate referrals

When you click an "Apply" link, you are taken directly to the partner's website. The partner may use their own cookies to track you for the purpose of attributing the referral to BankTalky. Whether BankTalky earns a commission depends entirely on whether you complete an application on the partner's site, per their terms. Read each partner's privacy policy before sharing your details with them.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure providers — our hosting (AWS Lightsail) and database (managed PostgreSQL). They process data under contractual data-protection terms.
• Authorities when legally required (subpoena, court order).
• Successors in case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale of TalkyTools.

5. Data retention

Anonymous click logs are retained for 24 months for revenue attribution and audit purposes. Server logs are retained for 30 days. Admin account records are retained for the lifetime of the admin user's active employment + 1 year.

6. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to: access, correct, or erase any personal data we hold about you (this is minimal — you have no public account with us). Email us at support@banktalky.talkytools.com to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use HTTPS (TLS 1.2+), encrypted databases, hashed passwords (bcrypt with 12 rounds), and access controls on our infrastructure. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords for any admin account and don't share credentials.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. International transfers

BankTalky is operated from India and primarily serves Indian users. Data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced via in-site notice 30 days before they take effect.
